Here are the three steps to paint a red flower.

1. Draw the outlines with dense ink. Mix "Shuhong" red and a little black ink. Apply the mixture from the darker parts to the lighter parts of the petals.
2. After the ink has dried, repeat step 1.
3. Mix "Shuhong" red and carmine red "Yanzhihong". Apply the mixture to the entire surface of the petals. Finally, color the heart of the flower. Retrace the outlines that might have been erased by the colors.
